UNA PERSPECTIVA ECONÓMICO-INSTITUCIONAL DE LA TOMA DE DECISIONES: SOLUCIÓN DE PROBLEMAS EN SITUACIÓN DE INCERTIDUMBRE

Abstract
Este trabajo discute en torno al problema de la toma de decisiones de los agentes económicos en situaciones de incertidumbre. Se plantea que las instituciones económicas son estructuras centrales en este proceso porque facilitan la selección de heurísticas y reglas de decisión mediante la conformación de patrones conductuales comunes. El argumento central plantea que la interrelación de los agentes económicos dentro de su ambiente de interacción propicia un proceso de aprendizaje y selección de estrategias de decisión que favorece una adecuada resolución de problemas, sin necesidad de asumir que dichos agentes son plenamente racionales. Se presenta una perspectiva institucional de la toma de decisiones que puede constituir una alternativa epistemológica a la teoría de la utilidad esperada como explicación de la conducta de los agentes en contextos de intercambio económico.
