About the Journal and subscription information

The Latin American Journal of Behavioral Medicine / Revista Latinoamericana de Medicina Conductual, LJBM, publishes original research both empirical and conceptual, on the way human behavior impacts health. The LJBM is published in both printed and digital versions twice a year.

The LJBM accepts papers on a wide range of themes and orientations: Public Health, clinical reports, empirical research on risk factors, methodological studies on prevention and treatment, descriptions on therapeutic procedures that involve behavior, metanalysis, interventions oriented to promote health on an individual or communitarian levels, technological innovations to study the impact of behavior on health, conceptual discussions on health issues.

 According to the characteristics of manuscripts, the journal is organized in different sections: empirical research, conceptual research, short essays, technical papers and book review.

We accept submissions in Spanish and English, that will be peer-reviewed following a double-bind procedure.

The LJBM is distributed to the members of the Mexican Society of Behavioral Medicine as a benefit included in the membership. Information about becoming a member and annual fee is available at the society web page: http://www.sociedadmexicanademedicinaconductual.com.mx.  

Subscriptions are available for individuals and institutions. The annual fee for individual subscription is $ 300 pesos ($24 US dollars) and $ 600 pesos ($48 US dollars) for institutions. For shipment and postal charges include an annual fee of $100 pesos ($8 US dollars) for the american continente and add  $240 pesos ($20 US dollars) for the rest of the world. The Latin American Journal of Behavioral Medicine in its digital version can be consulted via the Universidad Nacional Autonoma de Mexico web page for scientific peer-reviewed journals at: http://www.journals.unam.mx  and also from September 30, 2010 at its home-page, http://www.rlmc-mex.org  that is now under construction.
