The meaning of being interbehaviorist
Main Article Content
Abstract
Interbehaviorism is conceived as a metatheory about psychology, and it is historically identified in the mainstream of the general behaviorist movement. Three factors are identified which have made difficult its incorporation by researchers in psychology, specially by those behaviorally oriented: a) old conceptual habits; b) an hermeneutic and repetitive propension; and, c) underestimation of theory. The characteristics derived from an interbehavioral orientation for psychology's theorization, methodology and application are also examined.
