Abstract

In Mayan languages there are a great variety of morphemes that function as passive voice. The passive voice is different in an ergative language than in an accusative one. The Chuj language, like other Mayan, is ergative. In any kind of language, the passive voice must be analized in a different way because of the relation of the verb with their arguments.
