Abstract

In this second part of a series, the authors continue their study of the Nahuatl language, this time in the thirty one municipalities of the eastern part of the State of Mexico. Sixty nine villages were visited and the abundance, rarity or total absence of Nahuatl speakers is discussed in the introduction. The language is mutually intelligible in all the municipalities and the slight regional differences are analyzed from a linguistic point of view. Fifteen sample lists of words, sentences and two short texts are included in the Appendix.
