This paper analyses the relationship between the physical and sociocultural environment and the growth condition of a group of school children from Atla, Puebla. We selected a sample of 27 boys and girls from a total of 432 children for a blind case study. We used interviews to inquire about the selected family’s material conditions as well as the tenure and usufruct of family orchards; and the consumption of meat or domestic stock products. When the information was analyzed we found clear associations among the variables, which suggest environment influence over the growth condition of the children studied.Downloads
