Abstract

This article deals with the influence exerted by education centers on youth’s sexual information, the visibility and invisibility with which diverse contents are handled, according to how they treat different economic, social, cultural and sexual orders. Also, it establishes the relation between ideological tendency of educative institutions, its sexualized and subjective character, and the processes of exclusion. This essay proposes to question schools from expositions formulated by feminist, lesbian and gay, as well as queer activism and studies, taking as main axis heteronormativity (and the silence it promotes) and the “passion for ignorance” it shows, as a knowledge policy developed by education institutions.
