Calzonzin’s Father
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article is about the graphic humorist Eduardo del Río (Rius) and his work, as
well as its impact on the general public and aid in teaching history and social sciences.
The text places the cartoonist in time and space and talks about the artists who influenced him, especially his two series Los Supermachos and Los Agachados, without forgetting the significance of several of his books.
It is an invitation for teachers to assess the importance of the comic, its complexity, and its usefulness, far more than just a set of “dolls”.
