Lectures notes on art and culture industry in Adorno’s philosophy
Main Article Content
Abstract
The following essay refers to Adorno and Horkheimer’s cultural industry thoughts, in which Adorno defends auratic art continuity such as Arnold Schönberg’s music. The musician’s works have specific characteristics that exclude them from capitalism assimilation and the masses’ attention. In response, we think of a turning point that does not surrender to capitalism, but neither accepts Adornos’ views in an absolute way.
