Abstract

In this paper the author presents some features of the terms “memory” and“theater”; a reflection about memory and its relationship with art along thepath of its origins in western tradition and its roots in the myth. From this, theauthor approaches the dialectic of memory and oblivion in human imaginarylife and in theatrical process.

Manuel Lavaniegos Espejo, Facultad de Ciencias Políticas y Sociales. Centro de Estudios Sociológicos

Filósofo y poeta. Doctor en Arte y  Antropología por la Escuela Nacional de Antropología e Historia. Investigador del Seminario de Hermenéutica del Instituto de Investigaciones Filológicas Es Profesor del Posgrado de Filosofía de la Religión en la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras de la Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Entre sus publicaciones más importantes se pueden destacar los libros Configuraciones trágicas. Teatro y filosofía (1995), Rubén Címet o la escultura del reencantamiento del mundo (1997), La ceremonia imaginaria de Jean Genet (1999). Asimismo, entre sus libros de poesía podemos destacar: Caligramas de Cenizas (1997), El dolor del viento (2003) y Cosecha Furtiva (2008).
Líneas de investigación: hermenéutica contemporánea, comprensión del fenómeno religioso: Lluís Duch, Mircea Eliade y Paul Ricoeur.
