Alternative of Public Financing in Mexico: Roads and Bridges Rates in the Mid XX Century

Abstract
This article looks into the history of rates for using roads and bridges in Mexico. It was an alternative approach to create economic resources. It was the first decision of federal government authoritiesto improve roads in the country, and to move goods and people from one place to another. The information provided in this article helps to understand the beginnings of an alternative form to levy money by the federal government in response to pressures from the financial system and to findnew ways to modernize the country’s economy.
