Neoliberal restructuring Employment in Latin America: Mexico , Chile and Brazil
Main Article Content
Abstract
This article’s goal is to illustrate the various changes taking place in the employment structure of Latin America. It particularly focuses on labor issues, profits, unemployment, as well as labor conditions in the neoliberal economy. The study looks into Mexico, Chile and Brazil’s cases. These countries’ economies have shown high margins of economic profitability but, ironically, low economic growths as well. They also show overexploitation and precarious working conditions at the work place. Instead of participating with state-of-the-art technology in the world economic market, they usually do it with semi-elaborated products (assembly the lines, packaging, car industry).
