Abstract

This article the panorama in Mexico of the territorial configuration and of the regional development is presented with the objective of locating the importance of the infrastructure highway in the space and territorial environment of the country. It is analyzed in geographical and territorial terms the reach that this type of infrastructure can have in the conformation of a space economy guided to the satisfaction of the population's basic necessities to improve its quality of life and to elevate its level of human development. It is also analyzed the paper that the infrastructure highway acquires in the globalization's process of the economies, where it is trafficked form the monopolist capitalism's regionalization to the global capitalism's regionalization, setting down new forms of commercial exchange among the countries.
