Abstract

The main objective of this article offers a framework to analyze the relationship between the Haitian leader Jean-Bertrand Aristide and his followers. Within a particular historical context, this paper stresses Aristide's charismatic qualities a s being important during the political crisis of 1986 and 1994, and also as being crucial factor for mobilizing his followers.
