Abstract

The representative democratic societies have the figure of citizen as the basis of its constitution and operation, the institution of this significance does not only implies a legal status, it also implies the construction of an identity and a specific social praxis. Hence, the analysis of the relationships, tensions and contradictions between the imaginary significations, the social practices and their sense or signification done by the subjects that constitute a society is a task of high relevance. In order to perform this task it is needed an approximation that could facilitate the inclusion, in this analysis, of the subjective processes inherent in political praxis. Within this logic, the objective we pursue is to analyze the constitutive-subjective aspect necessary for the conformation of the citizenship and the correspondent participation that this conformation implies.
