Abstract

Contingency Analysis, an alternative methodology to other therapeutic approaches, is designed to change individual behaviar, by using non-professionals for its applicatian. Based on these methods, a didactic instrument was designed to teach subjects ta identify and define psycholagical prablems through critical dimensions of contigencies. The utility of the instrument is confirmed by single-case reports, lists of micra- and macro-cantingency definitions and evaluative questionnaires. The purpose of the research was ta demanstrate the usefulness of the instrument, which was studied using 60 first-semester psychology students. Data were of twa kinds a) correct responses ta evaluative questionnaires, and b) functional aptitude level of subjects responses. The ancauraging results shaw that the insturment is useful becausa it led to an increase in carrect responses and allawed subjects to change their initial functional aptitude Ievel ta an extra situatianal ane. ln spite of the need for more research, thís instrument isa step taward the canstructian of ather instruments for the systematization of the non-professional strategy for the application of Contingency Analysis.
