Abstract
High school 8 of the National Autonomous University of Nuevo León, has been dealing with constant dropouts, as well as, with students who are regularly failing their flexible learning courses. This study was conducted on thirty three students that didn’t get psychopedagogic orientation during past semesters. Now we are able to monitor students’ performance, since the Orientation Department opened the psychological support, and professional and labor, information areas. These are subjects of the Human Development field involving individual, group, specialized, massive, paired, mixed and online mediation. Three different courses of action were performed: prevention, education and intervention. The results of this exploratory research and its corresponding methodology, allowed to identify the students who risked failing the year, as well as, those who might dropout. Such measures increased the number of high school graduates.
