Alliances for the education of the Mexican diaspora: the role of Mexican universities

Abstract

This article highlights the dimension and importance of the Mexican diaspora and the need to support their secondary and higher education. It details the services provided by the Instituto de los Mexicanos en el Exterior and the consular network towards this end, including the Ventanillas de Orientación Educativa and the Binational Education Week. It emphasizes the importance of generating and consolidating alliances for the provision of open and online education to these populations.
