Abstract
All students should engage with AI, because of its rapid evolution and integration in society. It is natural to feel apprehensive when approaching it, but students can build understanding by using AI thoughtfully and in a sequential way. There are three aspects that learners should take into account: (1) Responsible use requires awareness of what happens to the data entered into AI platforms and avoiding the inclusion of personal information. (2) Users must critically evaluate AI-generated responses, questioning their sources, potential biases, and completeness. Since AI can produce “hallucinations”, learners should request reliable sources and independently verify them. (3) AI is not a substitute for thinking; it should be used interactively and critically, not as a quick fix. Additionally, users should remain mindful of the environmental impact of AI use, particularly in image generation. In conclusion, students are encouraged to engage with AI confidently, but also responsibly and critically.
