Abstract
The XXI Regional Meeting of the Asociación Iberoamericana de Educación Superior a Distancia (AIESAD), held from October 20 to 22, 2025, at UNAM, represented a strategic space for dialogue and collaboration regarding the future of education in the region. Using a hybrid format, the event focused the efforts of experts and authorities on key issues such as the impact of artificial intelligence, teacher training for knowledge management, and the challenges of blended learning models. Furthermore, the meeting explored the potential of micro-credentials for lifelong learning and the role of open innovation through UNESCO Chairs, reaffirming a commitment to the Sustainable development goals and internationalization to achieve digital, accessible, and transformative higher education in Ibero-America.
