PhD in Comparative Politics and History from the University of Arizona. He is currently Professor Philip McKenna Pacific Basin in Claremont McKenna College. Expert in Latin American studies and issues related to Mexico, particularly, and one of the consultants more appealed by academic institutions, policies and the BBC, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal and National Public Radio, as well as Microsoft Encarta and several groups editorials.
