Author Biography

Soledad Loaeza, El Colegio de México (COLMEX).

She did her doctorate of State in Political Science at Sciences Po; a specialization in International Relations in Munich, Germany, and a Bachelor in International Relations at the Colegio de Mexico, which also has served as a professor of Political Science. She is an expert on church-state relations; specialist in church policies; researcher; political analyst; political science; Head of the International Relations Center and ecclesiastical affairs specialist at the Institute of International Studies.
She was a member of the Sistema nacional de Investigadores, Level III and the Academia Nacional de Ciencias, and has taught courses and seminars as "contemporary Europe", "Introduction to Political Science", "The Mexican political system", "Mexican presidentialism in the twentieth century. "It has been study such topics as the Mexican presidency in the twentieth century, the conservative opposition in Mexico, parties and elections.
Some of their individual publications or co-authored are: Del populismo de los antiguos al populismo de los modernos (Colegio de Mexico, 2001);

lases medias y política en México. La querella escolar, 1959-1963 (2a ed., México, El Colegio de México, 1999);

El Partido Acción Nacional: la larga marcha, 1939-1994. Oposición leal y partido de protesta (México, Fondo de Cultura Económica, 1999). Oposición y democracia (México, Instituto Federal Electoral, 1996).

She has been a professor at several universities in the world, and the Facultad de Ciencias Políticas y Sociales, UNAM and UAM, Universidad Iberoamericana, ITAM, FLACSO, among other educational institutions.
