Author Biography

Rosa María Valles Ruiz, Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo

She is a professor and researcher at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo. PhD in Political and Social Sciences from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. Her PhD thesis, The Political Column in Mexico. A Proposal of Analysis Before the Presidential Elections of 2000, obtained the first place in its category in the Concurso Nacional del Instituto Electoral. Her lines of research are the Analysis of the Media and Sociocultural Processes, the Analysis of Discourse and Oral History, Gender and History. She has published as a coordinator or author 37 books.
