Abstract

After the events that took place in Mexico City during the second half of the year of 1968, some questions were raised about the possible transcendence of the events in which several student groups participate in an open action against the government, in general, and against The forces of public order, in particular. One of those questions could be: What was the impact that caused the events in the global population of Mexico City?

Juan Manuel Cañibe Rosas, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México

Social scientist and professor at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) the Instituto Politécnico Nacional (IPN) and the Universidad Iberomericana (uia).He was a collaborator in the Dirección de la Facultad de Ciencias Políticas y Sociales (FCPyS) of the UNAM between 1975 and 1979, and director of the Sistema de Universidad Abierta (SUA) He also collaborated in the then Departamento de Especialidad de Formación Básica Común, now Centro de Estudios Sociológicos (CES).
