The coordinator of number 29 of the RMOP presents the articles and review of the journal carefully; highlights its importance for understandingcurrent forms of communication and the public opinion derived from it, in Mexico and Latin America and the world.

Author Biography

Jacqueline Peschard Mariscal, Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM)

PhD in social sciences from El Colegio de Michoacán, México, and sociologist and master’s in political science from the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM). She is a full professor at the Facultad de Ciencias Políticas y Sociales at unam. She was a citizen advisor to the Instituto Federal Electoral and commissioner of the Instituto Federal de Acceso a la Información (IFAI), which she chaired from 2009 to 2013. Her publications include La cultura política democrática, Transparencia y partidos políticos y Transparencia: promesas y desafíos. She is currently a full member of the Mexican Culture Seminar and the Mexican Academy of Sciences, as well as coordinator of the unam Seminario Universitario de Transaprencia (SUT).
