Abstract
There are many lessons that the financial crisis has left during its successive episodes. The recovery of profitability of some of the global financial conglomerates has been driven by budgets and public debt, while financing for productive activity has not yet recovered.
Public debt has been and is a fundamental support for the functioning of financial markets, but now it is being destined to be a mechanism for financial speculation, out of all proportion and moving away from the needs of employment and investment.
