Abstract

The global financial crisis, despite the successive episodes it has presented, both in financial entities, in countries and regions, as well as in instruments, has failed to consolidate signs of recovery. The large financial consortia, many of them almost bankrupt two years ago, have gone out of the red and are showing profits, mainly as a result of government interventions and accounting manipulation.
