Abstract

This issue of www.olafinanciera.unam.mx appears in the midst of another episode of the global financial crisis.Once again the protagonists are investment funds and (former) investment banking; now in two important scenarios. One, the Europe, of financial actors, with large and rapid financial profits, and governments trying to demonstrate their solvency. Now the speculation, now more acute, hangs not only over the euro and southern Europe, but also over other governments such as that of California, in the United States, and that of Ireland.
