Abstract
A prolific designer, builder and engineer born in Ukraine to a Jewish family that migrated to Mexico during the nineteen thirties, Boris Albin studied engineering at the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de Mexico and went on to build over 330 projects, which include apartment buildings, temples and various public infrastructure works. His apartment buildings are not only numerous but especially renowned as prime examples of the International style. His is a legacy of great impact in Mexico City’s housing development, although little is known about him, his origins, the way he worked and his particular ideas about architecture.
