La historia de un extraordinario historiador. Entrevista a Álvaro Matute Aguirre

Abstract

Álvaro Matute has been a prolific scholar. He received the 2008 Science and Arts National Award in History, Social Science and Philosophy, is part of the Seminario de Cultura Mexicana, and a permanent member of the Academia Mexicana de la Historia. He has published a vast work, and has integrated his research with his teaching. As a researcher he prefers the history of historiography. For him, students should be motivated to apprehend the historic processes, and literature is essential to the historian’s education.
