Construcciones icónico-simbólicas sobre el mexicano

Abstract

In this paper the author presents iconic-symbolic drawings made by his Mexican History students, portraying their conception of the current Mexican. They first visualized images of Mexican people, and then they identified five significant and defining elements. They sketched these images, and explained their choice of elements. The author classifies the images, and differentiates archetypes and stereotypes.
