Main Article Content
Abstract
The following proposal is a work carried out at the cch campus Oriente, which exemplifies the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICT), in the development of an experimental activity carried out in the SILADIN; in this didactic strategy the students test different devices to measure the heartbeat of Daphnia sp., subjected to different daily cleaning substances. This experimental activity promotes in students the establishment and verification of hypotheses, obtaining and elaboration of databases. Measurement and comparison are the core point, in which ICT incorporate as tools in the collection and processing of data that allows students to manipulate, count and value. ICT intervene and condition the processes of transmission and construction of knowledge. The results show that the best device to count the beats was the high-speed video camera, unlike manual and digital counters (downloaded to mobile devices). As for the comparison of the different substances used, no significant differences in the effect of the heartbeat are observed, except for Coca Cola®.
