Podcast: From Massmedia to Selfmedia

Abstract
In massmedia students are usually recipients of information provided by educators. With web 2.0 overrunning all social spheres, self-media takes place: students are consumers and producers of information. We review experiences in the academic role of the podcast from which to promote its use. Results observed after implementing learning podcast in high school show that it constitutes a valuable element that allows differentiated communication, the students´ visibility as social subjects, their self-recognition and re-interpretation of contents achieving meaningful learning.
