Abstract

With the idea to advance in a multidimensional conceptualización of academic stress, a model was elaborated that takes as it bases the General Theory of Systems and the Transaccional Theory of Stress. The model allows to characterize to academic stress as a psychological state of the person and defines for its study three systems components: the sources of stress, the indicators of the systems imbalance or with stress situation and the strategies of facing.
