Relevance of Academic Programs in Management of University Social Responsibility: The Case of UVEG

Abstract
The management of the University Social Responsibility (USR) consists of four main areas: internal management of the institution, pedagogical management, research and knowledge generation and management of social projection of the institution.
This paper examines the issue of the pertinence of academic programs as a key element contributing to the implementation of the USR on the axis of the pedagogical management. In addition, the main strategies in the education pertinence are described, such strategies have been followed by the Virtual University of the State of Guanajuato (UVEG) to impact in a more meaningful way to its community.
