Abstract

The new health policies face not only the age-old problems of inequity, inefficiency and coverage, furthermore they are part of a new paradigm with two structural components: demographic and epidemiological transition. In a context of major private sector participation in the provision of health services. The indicators allow to conclude that debt on health care remains a major liability which exposes the operational inefficiency of the health policies implemented, resulting in a greater segmentation of the health system in the three schemes of health care: public, private and social.
