Abstract

The relation between ethics and psychoanalysis raises the possibility of approache both implicit subjects: the psychoanalysis of ethics and the ethics of psychoanalysis. Psychoanalytic method is hermeneutic, since it is a theory and a method based on understanding and interpretation. Psychoanalytic cure is a process of symbolic, critical, iconic and analogical acquisition. Both great objectives of the psychoanalysis (therapeutic and the mayeutic) require diffrent specific ethical attitudes. Ethical attitude facing the objective (pragmatism) is not the same as facing mayeutic objective (humanist). The nature of psychoanalysis raises that ethics accquires a profile thatis own and sui generis of the same analytical situation. There is really no useful therapeutic effect if the entire situation created by the analyst, the patient, the relation analyst-patient and all the course of the treatment is not developed in an ethical frame. Based on theoretical foundations, the presentwork analyzes the humanist approach of psychoanalysis.
