Two internet Applications for the Chemical Engineering Curricula
Main Article Content
Abstract
In this work two internet applications aimed at providing didactic support in undergraduate courses of Chemical Engineering at Universidad de Sonora are presented. The first application, ‘‘Mathematical Modeling of the Fluorescence Recovery After Photobleaching (FRAP) Technique’’, is useful for courses related with the formulation and solution of mathematical models based on partial differential equations. The second application, ‘‘Problems for Mass Transfer Applications’’, can be used in courses dealing with the design of separation equipment based on mass transport, and as a training tool for the General Exam from the Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering administered by CENEVAL. Both applications have been successfully used in presential programs and can also be used in distance learning programs. Both tools are available on line.
