Abstract

It has been assumed for years that teacher’s conceptions and classroom practice are related, and that in prospective teachers, the conceptions are the fruit of the many years they themselves spent at school. In this context, we study the contributions of a constructivist teaching sequence in the learning of procedures and concepts about chemical kinetics in a BA program for prechemistry teachers.
