Abstract

The phenomenon of globalization is a fact that cannot be denied; as a general context it is imposed in all parts of society. At the moment, the education for competences is clearly a tendency in the entire world, which extends to most of the educational institutions. Its command in education requires to be studied to know about it and to understand it, besides identifying the options for its implementation and to choose the type that can be monitored to the historical characteristics of the institutions. In the literature on competences there are wide range of definitions that respond to different necessities and philosophies. The model of comprehensive professional competences set three levels of them: basic, generic and specific competences.
