All articles will be submitted to the plagiarism detection software iThenticate to ensure their originality. Once these conditions are met, they will be sent to the members of the Editorial Committee.

As part of our commitment to originality, all manuscripts submitted to Educación Química are uploaded to the iThenticate platform. This software compares the manuscript’s content with thousands of web pages and other publications, generating a detailed report that highlights any matches with sources in its database. The report includes a similarity percentage and a list of matching elements in the document, showing their location on the web or in other publications.

If a high percentage of similarity is detected between the manuscript and another publication, the report is sent to the authors in PDF format so they can identify and modify the areas of their manuscript that need adjustment.
